Hi Dan,

If you use the newer converter you get this SWMM5 data set., There seems to be something wrong with the rainfall data - which I will look at for you.

Here is the file I just converted:

I am trying to convert a SWMM RUNOFF file from 4.4 to 5.0 but it keeps giving me an error on ALL of the H1 cards. Not sure what the problem is. The file runs fine in 4.4h

The EPA website converter is a few years out of date.
My converter was from the EPA website and looked slightly different than yours. After downloading from the link on the previous page it worked fine???? Thanks
See how I loaded your two files:

I am trying to repeat your bit of magic here and can't. I took the spaces out of the filename and put the files on the C drive and I get the same error.
Thanks again, I knew it would be something silly like that. You saved me lots of time here.
You cannot use a space in a directory name. I was able to convert it by putting the two files on the C drive and running the translation program:

Here is the SWMM 5 input file that was created.

Yes that is an Extran file:

SW 1 0 0
MM 3 20 21 22
$EXTRAN

Add the same SW and MM lines and then you should be able to convert the runoff and extran files together.
If this *.dat file is the runoff file, is this the extran file?

Thanks for your time, this is really helpful.

You have a PC-SWMM file; you need to add the SW and MM lines at the top of the data file to make it convert:

SW 1 0 0
MM 3 10 11 12
$RUNOFF

Once you do this you should be able to use the REGULAR SWMM4to5converter.exe to make a SWMM 5 file,
